Film Tactics
I think it's really important for classroom atmosphere, giving and introduction to the video so the students know what to look for, to explain, assess and test students on their comprehension of the film.
Thoughts on Scavenger Hunt
From the internet you can get instant access to videos, quotes, photos and historical documents that may not be available to you in your current location. From other sources, not available on the net, you can obtain original hand-written documents that smell old.

My first blog
Hi, welcome to my blog! This will be the first time that I am writing a blog because I have to rather than by choice... so we'll see how it goes! Stay tuned for more!
Just a bit about me, I've recently moved back from Japan - Okinawa specifically - after having lived there for two years... I managed to survive the steady diet of pigs feet, pigs intestines, pigs ears and all things pig, including SPAM. I am currently trying to lose the 20 lbs I gained from consuming these items and other more tasty foods (read: BAKERY ITEMS) that I managed to find using my limited Japanese skills.
I graduated from UofM Arts in 2005 with a Psychology degree. As far as where I want to go in education - my short-term goal is to become an elementary teacher hopefully grade 4, my long-term goal is to continue my education further and maybe end up teaching in University.
My interests are traveling, beaching, camping, snorkeling, bike riding, playing on the computer and socializing. I have done a lot of volunteer work in my life, mostly with counseling but I'm not volunteering at the minute because I am very busy with school and work.
Mata ne for now! (see ya later!)
